Experience a memorable communal meal in the historical 1830 Brick Dwelling and dine where the Shakers ate their daily meals for over 100 years. Savor a delicious meal prepared by Woodlife Kitchen chef Peter Belmonte and soak up the history of the iconic building. Prior to dinner, enjoy a cocktail and a special Shaker music program performed in the Meeting Room of the Brick Dwelling.
The first Shaker Supper of the season will be held in the 1830 Brick Dwelling dining room where the Shakers enjoyed their communal meals. Local Berkshire Chef Kevin Kelly, Founder of After Hours GB, will provide a creative dining experience based on Shaker inspired recipes.
The evening features Mary Ann Haagen, a Shaker scholar and musician who is actively engaged in the work of the Enfield Shaker Museum, giving a presentation focusing on Shaker music and food. Inspired by authentic Shaker recipes, the communal meal features meat and produce from our farm and other local resources prepared by Chef Peter Belmonte from Woodlife Kitchen.
