Sustainable farming done right.

VEGETABLE & HERB CSA – 2024

The Shakers farmed this land more than 200 years ago. Many of their original farming practices, plus modern-day sustainability methods, are employed by our dedicated team of gardeners and farmers. We grow heirloom tomatoes, carrots, squash, potatoes, garlic, onions, leeks, fennel, kale, spinach, Swiss chard, eggplant, pumpkin, and much more. By joining our CSA you will enjoy local produce grown with care and harvested at its peak. 2023 season runs weekly from June through October, exact start and end dates TBD.

We are grateful to our community for its steadfast support of our farm and local sustainable food.

Grow Your Own! Shaker Heirloom seeds and Shaker Village Black Gold compost are available for purchase in Shaker Mercantile, our retail shop. (For large compost quantities, 24 hour advance appointment required)

MEAT CSA: 2023-24 season

At Hancock Shaker Village, our heritage-breed livestock is carefully, humanely raised. Our aim is to provide nutritious, local food to our community members. Lambs, pigs, and cows are raised on the same pastures the Shakers cultivated in the 1790s, and we employ environmentally conscious, humane, and sustainable practices to raise our heritage-breed livestock that have produced quality meat for generations. When you buy a meat CSA share from us, you buy grass-fed, all-natural meat. Meat CSA shares contain beef, pork, and lamb, all professionally prepared. Each share contains at least 40 total pounds of meat spread over 5 months. Pickups are once per month from November-March, between 2-6PM on the following dates:

• November 15, 2023
• December 13, 2023
• January 10, 2024
• February 7, 2024
• March 13, 2024
