The next Shaker Supper of the season will be held on June 4 in the 1830 Brick Dwelling dining room where the Shakers enjoyed their communal meals.
The evening features Kathleen Lynch, Curator and Collections Manager at Hancock Shaker Village who will regale us with anecdotes about Shakers and communal living.
Chef John from the Great Cape Baking Company has developed a delicious Shaker inspired menu for the evening with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Shaker Supper Menu:
Arugula and fennel salad with lemon vinaigrette and shaved parmesan cheese
Cottage pie: Seasoned minced beef in deep savory gravy with peas & carrots topped with creamy mashed potatoes & cheddar cheese
Cheddar chives drop biscuit
Maple glazed roasted beets & carrots
Rhubarb cake topped with strawberry compote
Seasonal vegetarian options available upon request
