Historic Shaker Garden Tour
The Shakers invested great thought, time and labor in their gardens. They were the first to package seeds, and well-known for their fine herbal remedies, as this two-hour tour reveals. Conducted by our lead gardener, Georgia Barberi, this overview of Shaker plants in the medicinal and herb gardens and heirloom-seed vegetable gardens, showcases the Shaker preoccupation with form and function and their deep desire to create heaven on earth. Includes general admission to the Village for the day, and ample time to explore the gardens on your own. Groups of 15 to 30. Available mid-May to mid-September. $25/person
