We depend on the talents of dozens of volunteers like you to develop and deliver programs, mount exhibitions, produce special events and manage our farm and gardens. You can volunteer every week or just once in a while – whatever suits your schedule! The opportunities include:
- Greeter: Help to welcome arriving visitors and school groups, and launch them on a memorable visit!
- Interpreter: Present Shaker history through guided tours, craft demonstrations, and visitor engagement.
- Garden support: Help maintain our heirloom gardens, harvest produce, and assist with CSA distribution.
- Special events: Assist with set-up/break-down, check-in, ushering, children’s activities, and parking for dinners, concerts, festivals and other special events.

To start the process of becoming a volunteer, fill out a Volunteer Application Form. Please note: Volunteers should be at least 15 years old to submit an application.
