Walk on the Wild Side

Escape the hectic pace of Black Friday with a leisurely guided walk on the Village’s one-mile Farm & Forest Trail. As we explore the end-of-autumn pasture and woods, we’ll consider the Shakers’ relationship to the natural world and how the landscape has changed over time. In honor of Festival of Trees, we’ll also examine a few special trees in the forest before ending the walk at the Round Stone Barn. There you can enjoy the holiday forest that awaits inside and visit our farm animals. The walk will take about an hour and is suitable for all ages.
