In the Berkshires, artisanal cider maker Berkshire Cider Project has for the last two years been making a fine, sparkling hard cider from heirloom apples gathered from Hancock Shaker Village’s historic orchard. On July 28, please join us for a special Cider Maker’s Dinner to launch the 2020 vintage of BCP’s Hancock Shaker Village Hard Cider.
The al fresco evening will begin with a stroll and tasting in the orchard, then move onto a multi-course savory dinner featuring cider pairings and remarks by the cider makers and a farmer from our orchard. Berkshire Cider Project, located in North Adams, Massachusetts, produces fine, dry, sparkling hard cider that has the depth and complexity of wine. Committed to local sourcing, sustainability, and simplicity, they donate a portion of sales from this vintage back to Hancock Shaker Village to support the farm’s agricultural programming. Each of the three courses prepared by chef Josh Kelly of Bimi’s Café will be paired with a different craft cider. Tickets $85 ($75 for members)
