Our 1923 REO T-6  5 passenger 4door Sedan is undergoing a paint and mechanical refresh. The CT Valley Region (CVR) of the Antique Auto Club of America and Vintage Motor Car Club of America is overseeing the repaint in a lovely sage green with assistance from the Students of Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School. The students are learning about working the older metals and all the steps needed to create a great looking finish. They are working on all four fenders that needed some love.

The major paint removal, metal prep, and finish is being applied by Reflections Auto Restorations in Belchertown (MA). The old finish was failing and the rust underneath had compromised the finish to the point of rust bubbling through. The CVR is addressing many mechanical issues starting with a complete cooling system rebuild, the water pump and radiator has been rebuilt or reconditioned, and the head gasket (hopefully only the gasket) is next but the head itself will be inspected and cleaned and intake valves checked. The driver side front spindle was scored and is being reconditioned to allow the REO it continued tours about the village. We hope to have her back in our garage by May.

We have been quietly raising funds for a decade and are pleased to see this project underway but there’s always more to be done. Your support is welcome.
