Includes Village admission and all materials. \nWith Thanksgiving on the horizon\, it’s time to celebrate the cranberry.  Hancock Shakers gathered cranberries in a bog near the North Family and kept them for use all winter long. \nThis year’s workshop will focus on pear-cranberry jam and/ apple cranberry compote just in time for you to plan your Thanksgiving menu. DESCRIPTION:Woven Holiday Ornaments \nDATE: Saturday\, November 21\, 2026 \nTIME:  10 am-1 pm \nREGISTRATION FEE: $30/$27 for HSV members. Includes admission to the Village. \nMATERIALS FEE: $25 materials fee payable directly to the instructor on the day of the workshop. \nParticipants will make three woven ornaments\, perfect for the holidays.  The ornaments include an eight-pointed snowflake; a puffy heart\, woven in thin maple strips; and a reindeer woven in dyed reed. \nINSTRUCTOR: A basket maker since 1995\, Sandy Salada weaves a variety of baskets\, including patterns of her own design\, patterns by other teachers\, and reproductions of cultural and historical baskets. Sandy teaches in her home studio as well as at Shaker Heritage Society in Watervliet\, New York\, and at Hancock Shaker Village. \nREGISTER HERE
