At the Country Fair, vendors fill the Village with delightful fresh produce, finished farm products, and crafts of all sorts. The Farmers Market tents boast vegetables, flowers, maple sugar treats and hand-made cheeses. Artisans have furniture, Shaker style oval boxes, original paintings, candles and hand-woven textiles available for purchase. Plan plenty of browsing time for this amazing marketplace! Don’t miss the Food Tent with soups, sandwiches and barbeque! This year, we’ll also have antique tractors and engines, a Kids Tent full of crafts and games, and of course, a hay pile to jump and play on!

CHICKEN
GAMES At the 2012 Country Fair, we hosted the first annual Chicken Games! Again in 2013, Chicken Races will be held at 11:00am and 2:00pm daily during the Country Fair. Kids will draw numbers from a basket of plastic eggs, and if their chicken comes in first, the child will receive a coloring book prize and get their picture taken with the winning chicken. Five or six chickens will run in each race. The chickens are training hard – don’t miss the excitement!

2012 judges in our Annual PIE CONTEST included Berkshire Museum Director of Communications Lesley Ann Beck, Mission Bar + Tapas owner Jim Benson, WAMC President Alan Chartock, Artist Roselle Chartock, Berkshire Eagle Food Writer Judith Lerner, and Chocolate Springs owner Joshua Needleman. 2012 Winners: Gramercy Bistro, Shaker Apple Pie (Professional) and Ann Burtenshaw, Apple Pie with Cheddar Cheese Crust (Amateur).
A HARVEST of Q
UILTS A display of quilts in the Round Stone Barn ell has become an integral part of the Country Fair each year. In 2012, over 70 antique and newly made quilts were displayed in this juried show.
