HSV beefs up its tours and programs for the day, including Interpreter Talks that introduce the Shakers (10:30 am, 1 pm, and 3:30 pm), Tours of the Farm & Gardens (noon and 3 pm), Shaker Music & Dance (11 am, 1:30 and 4 pm), and Demonstrations of the Water Turbine (11:30 am, 2 pm, and 4:30 pm). Throughout the day, special fun and games for kids, plus our usual demonstrations of woodworking, blacksmithing, and spinning / weaving throughout the historic Village. The Village Harvest Cafe will be open as for snacks and lunch from 11 am to 5 p. Additional lunch options on site for families, too. (Or, pack a picnic! We have lots of tables, both indoors and out.) Don’t miss Heaven on Earth, in the Visitor Center, and Living on Earth: The Work of Robert Hite, large-scale sculpture in the historic Village.
