HSV beefs up its tours and programs for the day, including Interpreter Talks that introduce the Shakers (10:30 am, 1 pm, and 3:30 pm), Tours of the Farm & Gardens (noon and 3 pm), Shaker Music & Dance (11 am, 1:30 and 4 pm), and Demonstrations of the Water Turbine (11:30 am, 2 pm, and 4:30 pm).  Throughout the day we’ll host special fun and games for kids, as well as our usual ongoing demonstrations of woodworking, blacksmithing, and spinning / weaving in buildings throughout the historic Village.  The Village Harvest Cafe will be open as for snacks and lunch from 11 am to 5 pm, and we’ll have additional lunch options on site for families, too. (Or, pack a picnic! We have lots of tables, both indoors and out.) Don’t miss our ongoing exhibits: Heaven on Earth, in the Visitor Center, and the show of contemporary sculpture, Modern Wings & Shaker Roots, throughout the historic Village.
