This four-part workshop provides basic quilting skills classes and instruction for beginners, as well as more advanced drop-in sessions for experienced quilters. Held on four Saturdays, this workshop is designed so that each participant can tailor their individual learning and hands-on quilting experience. Students can register for just one day if desired, since each session can stand alone as a complete workshop. Or, for a more comprehensive experience, students can take any two, three, and/or all four of these sessions, depending on their interests. Sessions will be led by Master Teachers from the HSV Quilting Friends Connie Logan, an award-winning quilter and teacher, and Mary Rentz, artist and quilt designer.
Students will need to bring a simple sewing kit (large and small fabric scissors, needles, pins, threads and thimble), a brown-bag lunch, and various fabrics of their choice (100% high quality cotton – washed and ironed). Quilt patterns based on the Shaker Gift Drawings Tree of Life, Apple Basket and Wreath of Flowers will be available for purchase on the days of the workshop for $10.00 each.
